Solo Evane Mix & Match Contest

I love mix and match of my clothings, and the Solo Evane Mix and Match contest is a fun one.  The rules are to create an unique outfit mix and matching creations from Gizza, LpD (Les Petite Details), Solidea Folies, Blacklace and Chop Zuey Couture Jewelry, so the following is what I have came up with.

We are also reminded to make sure the styling make sense that it should tells a story, so my inspiration came from an unconventional bride, using bold colors and some edgy designs but keeping the overall look feminine.

Well, it may not be a winning piece but I love it and I have also successfully included Chop Zuey jewelry as part of the outfit, just wanted to show you how versatile a lovely couture jewelry can be.  Although I did not use any of the Blacklace clothing but I fell in love with it’s makeup, and I used them as part of my styling too.

“On this side of the PurpleMoon”….

It’ the name of a styling contest organized by PurpleMoon, one of my favourite brands and the brand that got me started with all these styling and photo contests when I entered the modeling world last year.

I have wanted to do a picture of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) for a long time and this styling I came up with and its’ colors give me the inspiration and motivation to realise the picture, partnering with talented photographer Trinetty Skytower.

I love what Trin did with the overall effects especially the stars (like I am reaching up to add one last sparkle to the night sky) and not to mention the Aurora that looks so natural and real.  This is exactly how the Canadian Rockies would look and feel like, when the aurora lights the sky.

Memory

Summer is here and dandelion is everywhere.  The dandelion reminds me alot of a very dear friend in SL, Masaru, whom have left earlier this year.  We used to hangout and had fun with this dandelion prop, so the other day I decided to dig my inventory to see if I still have it, which I am really glad I did.

That’s really how the whole inspiration of the following pictures came about…. and I hope as I blown these dandelions away, they would fly with the wind to Masaru, letting him know that I wish him well and I miss him a lot.

Summer Pullover

It’s time to embrace the sun.  Even on a very windy day, I want to indulge myself with sunshine and I found just the right thing to do on this sunny and windy day.  That’s flying a kite!!

……and I found exactly the top I could wear as a pullover, with my summer skirt, to keep me cool and comfortable.

The Airflow off shoulder sweater, made of knitted textures, is really easy and wonderful to style with and is perfect as a pullover for summer.  The sweater comes in many dark and pastel shades, so there are colors for everyone and every skin tone.

I paired my Maroon sweater with bright Mango color skirt, halted top and shoes from The Sea Hole and loving the results.

FOLLOWERS

It’s been more than a month that the numbers of followers on my blog have remained over 250.  When I saw that number in early May that stood at 291, I thought it was a bug (or a joke) from WordPress so I ignored it for awhile thinking that the number would go back to normal once the bug is fixed.   The next few weeks after that, I noticed the numbers dropped a little to around 270 and then it went up again by a few and then the numbers keep “yo-yoing” between 270 and 280, but it never went back to the original.  So I did some investigations.

I clicked on my statistics on WordPress and checked the actual numbers of followers I have.  It stands at 41 todate.  The rest of the numbers are from comments and the biggest chunk actually came from my Facebook’s account as I have my blog syndicated there.  I suppose when someone click to indicate he/she likes my post, it got captured on my blog, adding to the numbers of followers.   Well, it may not be the most realistic way to capture the numbers but the numbers of people that read my blog is definitely genuine….so whoever you are, that contributed to this wonderful numbers of followers, I’m truly glad that you liked what I have posted so far and thank you very very much for your supports!

As my blog is syndicated to some fashion blogs, I should at least post a style here.
