Chop Zuey Girls

What started of as a challenging Sunday afternoon, the Chop Zuey Girl Summer 2012 final ended on a high note.  Twelve finalists were choosen to present themselves on the runway on July 29th.  Three were made runner ups and one crowned the Chop Zuey Girl Summer 2012.  The judging tasks weren’t easy because every finalist has put her best efforts forward in styling using Chop Zuey jewelries.  All twelves finalists are unique in their own ways and truly deserved to be on the runway.  Four of them, however, have managed to present themselves in the best essence of Chop Zuey Couture Jewelry.

Here’s my heartfelt congratulation to the following girls:

Chop Zuey Girl Summer 2012 –  SELINA GRAYCLOUD

First Runner Up – Portia Pexington

Second Runner Up – Dana Yotov

Third Runner Up – Yashi Audion

People’s Choice Award – Yashi Audion

A friend asked if I feel sad on stepping down as the Chop Zuey Girl.  I’m actually happy and excited that a new girl would now have that opportunity to hold such a distinct title and most importantly having the priviledge to work with Belle and her creations, because that will truly be a great and valuable experience.

When I became the Chop Zuey Girl Fall last year, I just returned to SL and got back into modeling.  I didn’t have any academic qualification nor any runway experience.  Although winning the Chop Zuey Girl title at an early stage of my modeling career helped but the real rewards were having the opportunity to work with Belle.  Many Chop Zuey customers know Belle as a generous and talented creator but apart from that Belle is also a kind and honest person.  Belle has been very encouraging and supportive throughout my modeling journey since we met.  From my MVW Class 105 to Colour of Couture Competition, Belle has always been there for me.  She is also very appreciative of the works and contribution of her team.  It is these attributes that inspired me and many others to want to work and stay with Chop Zuey, so today I may have stepped down as the Chop Zuey Girl but Chop Zuey will always have a place in my heart, and two of my group spaces. :P

Here are what I wore on the day of the CZ Girl Summer final.  The crown reminds me of the day I was crowned and the honour I have with Chop Zuey and I am glad that another girl now share the same excitement and experience.

I have the honour to blog about this meaningful gown called Fairey, made by kind soul Bouquet, for the Pink Ribbon Fair starting on August 4.   Fairey is a very soft and delicate gown made of mesh and beautiful sheer ribbons drapped from the right shoulder.  Putting on this dress, I have a vision of being an ancient goddess that is kind, strong and have the power to heal.

Face of VoguE Semi Final

It has been a very eventful day for me today.  The semi final for Face of VoguE took place this morning and I am one of the twenty finalists that was choosen to walk before the judges.

The challenges we were given are to create two mix and match styles, for casual and formal respectively.  There were some really experienced models and great stylings among the semi finalists, and it was really an honour to be part of the group.  Results will be out in the Best of Second Life (BOSL) group soon and while waiting for that, I am having fun taking pictures.

Here are my stylings.  I have styled to be seductive using the hot pants for the casual mix and match and timeless and elegant using lace for the formal mix and match.  I made the decision to wear a mesh belt in my casual styling so I could use more bold poses to showcase the outfits.

Bandanna Day – July 29th

Each year people from all over Second Life, help raise money for Wigs for Kids by creating bandanas to be sold at the Hair Fair for Bandana Day – Bandana Day is always the last day of Hair Fair, where people remove their hair to show they care and wear the bandanas they have purchased during the event.

This is my first year participating in making the bandannas and I’m glad to be able to contribute to such a good cause.  Here are some of the bandanna designs I have made.  They are available for sales at L50 each in the Bandanna Day room on every sim.

Belle Esprit means beautiful mind in French and I feel it is more important to have a beautiful mind than a beautiful appearance.  I hope we could all instill this message to the kids that needed more care because they didn’t have many choices on their appearance in their life, but choosing to be kind and positive, as beautiful mind, is always an option they have.   The feathers on the bandanna signifies freedom, freedom of how we feel and freedom of our choice of thoughts.

Tu Es Belle means “You’re Beautiful” in French.  I hope every kid that needed care and attention know they are unique and beautiful in their own ways.  The bubbles on the bandanna signifies refreshing, as they could still bring refreshing meanings to someone in this world.

There are many beautiful designed bandannas made by hair creators or individual like me, all priced at L50 only!  If you have missed them in the Bandanna Day room at the Hair Fair, go check them out and get yourself a bandanna before July 29, to support the Bandanna Day!
