FATEwear & EMO-tions at Fantasy Faire 2013

It’s going to be an exciting weekend for all the Fantasy fans in Second Life when the Fantasy Faire opens its’ door at 6am on the 20th. The Fantasy Faire, if you are not familiar, is a Relay for Life event that raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Celebrating its fifth year, Fantasy Faire 2013 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world.  From Saturday April 20 to Sunday April 28, there will be nine days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts and roleplaying for thousands of Second Life residents.

This year there are eight sims sponsored and created by some of the best designers in Second Life and each sim has different theme and unique feel like a fairyland, that eventually connected as a huge Fairy continent.  Whether your style be steampunk or fae, mer or gothic you will find yourself at home at some of the sims.

Debuting my first post for this year’s Fantasy Faire, I am an Elven in a delicate layared dress created by FATEwear.  Some of you might know FATEwear, which is a brand that specialised in modern men’s wear and accessories.  The designer behind of FATEwear, Damien Fate, is also the mesh creator for his brand FATEwear and the popular women’s mesh clothing brand, Coldlogic.   Hence, I am super super excited when FATEwear makes it’s first presence in the Fantasy world.

Back to the dress! “Rochon”, is a layered elven dress which is tied up in the front with a long delicate ribbon. The sleeves are long and flowing and while the overall design is conservative, the front of the skirt is split up the center showing off my legs.  Having said that, the dress is just as innocent as an elven.  100% of the proceeds of this item will be donated to the American Cancer Society so be a graceful and charitable Elven in this Rochon dress.

Pairing the dress is the perfect APHRODITE hair by EMO-tions, also created and will be released at the Faire this Saturday.   Mirja Mills, the designer behind EMO-tions, has been creating detailed and beautiful hair for the modern, haute, avant garde and fantasy worlds, has recently taken her creations to a whole new level by adding exquisite accessories on the hairs.

There are definitely a lot to see at the Faire.  Even if you are not into fantasy characters or roleplaying, the sim’s architecture and the quality of the items created by all the talented designers will have you gasping.

FATEwear will be on the Titan’s Hollow sim and EMO-tions will be on the Evensong Woods sim.  Landmarks to the respective store at the Faire will be available closer to the opening time, so stay tuned!

March 17 is the last day of Fashion for Life 2013.  Also, the last chance to grab some of the exclusive items made to support this fundraising event.  There are too many to see and explore at this event, also too many to buy and definitely too many to blog for a short period of one week.  Two of the items, however, are worth the last minute mentioning, i.e. the Butterfly Qipao from ArisAris and the Lip clutch from COCO.  Just see how good they go together.

Steam Clouds for Fashion for Life 2013

LpD’s designs have always been dreamy and hopeful to me.  The Steam Cloud dress, earrings and make ups, made for the Fashion for Life 2013 (FFL) are no exception.  They are just the perfect buy and supports for this meaningful event.

I paired these items with a head dress from Glam Affair, for the most recent cycle of Collabor88, that sits perfectly on my Dolce hair from Lelutka. <3

Brave & River Rock for Fashion for Life 2013

This is probably a glamorous version of Merida, the character from the Disney cartoon called Brave.  Having said that, it is equally meaningful because the Brave Dress by Vero Modero and the River Rock accessories from Chop Zuey are made for the Fashion for Life (FFL) event.

The Brave Dress comes in many parts i.e. wings, top, a mesh skirt part, flexi skirt part and also a helmet that allow many ways of wearing it.

The River Rock necklace, is a very rustic natural stone that sets on a gold chain with two spade likes object on it.  Just the perfect type of accessories for Merida.

Fashion for life opens its’ door to the public on March 9 @ 12pm SLT and will run for a week. Visit the 9 sims for some exclusive items created for this event.  Mostly made with 100% proceeds to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s RELAY FOR LIFE,  so remember to do your part and visit the FFL to do some good deeds!

Let It Snow! at Hope for Emilia

Let it snow! is another outfit by Solidea Folies that is made for the Hope for Emilia (HFE) event.  I styled it with the Una Rosa Rossa hat that are also made by Solidea for HFE and the Jordan neckalce by Artistry by ~E~.  They are just perfect together.
