The Dressing Room Styling

One of my favourite places to shop is at The Dressing Room (TDR) and from The Dressing Room I would usually take the teleport to The Dressing Room Blue (TDRB).  Like many, I have never once gone home from these rooms empty handed so I have to think it is a good thing.

Some of the following items have just been released at the TDRB, another reason to visit them if you haven’t done that this week.  I know I am a bad influence when it comes to shopping.

From The Dressing Room to My Dressing Room

I have been crazy styling since last week, for CoC, magazines, and my classes with Passion.  I was pulling items from my inventory, shopping and more shopping.  Some styles worked, some don’t and some looked perfect for print.  Then, I saw this oversize sweater and skin from TDR that I really love…and one thing lead to another and here I am!  Another styling for the TDR Stylish Contest.  I don’t think I have done anything that is absolutely pastel and cool colors but the Glam Affair skin compliment the colors really well.

I know, I know.  I need to take a break before I get styling cold feet soon.

Rapunzel

My daughter is a huge fan of Rapunzel and with her influence I have started to love this character too.  We love Rapunzel for her personality and look.  In the Disney’s version of Rapunzel she is feisty, defiant, kind, sweet, energetic, courageous, innocent and beautiful.  This has inspired me to make a photo theme of Rapunzel with a modern twist in SL.  After months of planning, it is really Skip Staheli that has realized the images for me.  Skip is a very very talented photographer in SL.  No wait!  I would not consider Skip a photographer.  He is really an artist, and a very talented and creative one!

Take a look at the pictures yourself, I don’t think I need a blonde hair and a comb to say the rest!

Rock

The Vintage Fair 2011 is finally here!  After all the waiting, waiting and more waiting, the fair finally opens its’ door to the public on Nov 11 at 4pm SLT.

I’m so excited to see what the designers have in store for us.  While you race yourself to the fair and fight the SL lag evil, now, there is one stop that you shouldn’t miss, that’s to the -Elan- shop on the Classic sim (195, 157, 21) for two of its’ rockin’ and eye popping releases.   Unfortunately, direct tp into the store is not allow, so be patience and stroll from the landing point.  -Elan- will be waiting for you.

As 80s as it can be-Elan- Rockin’ in fur & sequins set also potrays one of the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 trends with the use of fur and sequins.   I have to admit I am not a big fan of yellow but I would not hesitate to wear this yellow/purple set.   The colors and shades are fabulous and vibrance, and rockin’ just as the name suggested.  The set comes with a right puff up shoulder and long fur sleeve.  The purple sequins and almost shimmery skirt is just so perfect for a rockin’ party after your shopping trip.

I wanted to add more colors to my ensemble so I paired the set with a pink flowers buckle black belt and a pair of black boots….and hey it is fall and a pair of yellow leg warmer would be nice,and maybe some yellow highlight on my hair too!!

Gizza Party Girl

Winter is just around the corner which means Christmas is near, follow by the New Year celebration.   I am starting to see shimmers and glitters everywhere.  Party goers are shopping and planning for that killer party outfit, me included. And I think I may have found mine.

Shiki Design’s Gizza Party Girl gown is a true reflection of Fall/Winter 2011 fashion trends with the use of  flexi feathers.  The gown comes in three colors – White Chic, Azure Blue and Raven Black.  You can check out the colors here.

What I am wearing in the photo is the combination of White Chic and Azure Blue.  I love the blue shades Shinichi-San uses on his designs.  This blue, is almost like a Shiki’s staple color in SL.  It is soft yet vibrance the same time.

The Gizza Party Girl set comes with two shoulder attachment and an optional chest attachment, when put on looks like an elegant overall shoulder wrap for the chilly winter.
