Trinidad by TORN

This outfit arrived a little late at my preparation of the Haute Show yesterday, but it is really worth the wait.  The Couture AFW Trinidad by TORN, a limited edition set, is a very unique number and I agreed with Leah that it is perfect for a Minimalist-Haute look, which is one of the latest real life fashion trends.

A few styling images popped up when I put on this outfit and I spent at least the first hour trying to make one of them worked but couldn’t and finally I opted to be a “Minimalist Magician” with the same Sophie Top Hat from Pure Poison that I adored.

I have seldom required to prepare an outfit and poses within a few hours for a runway walk but thank you very very much to Leah for her helps and constant reassurance yesterday, I managed to make it worked!

AVENUE Interview

After 7 weeks, 4 stylings and an interview, the AVENUE casting has finally come to an end yesterday.  All hardworks are finally paying off.  I was speechless when the interview panel said “Yes!” and sent me group invite on the spot.  I swore I would have sent a hug animation to the judges if it wasn’t because I wanted to look cool while leaving the interview room.

Also, congratulations to the rest of the models that have made it into AVENUE too.  I look forward to working with each of you in the future!

AVENUE is the second major casting I have done.  The experience was enriching and rewarding, and I got to try new stylings and push my own limits further with this opportunity.  So, for the interview round, we need to continue to dress to impress.  I have picked the jumpsuit from Zenith pairing it with a GField Bow Neck Top that I tinted to orange.  I picked these colours because Fall fashion and colours are one of the trends in this coming Spring and I used a men’s hair and more masculine accessory for a neutral look.

It’s a modern oriental look that I am going for today; very excited that I get to wear my new Glance skin again.

Besides the blazer, I paired the Little Rose top with a skirt from the SHIKI Couture Dress – CHAT NOIR set.  The skirt has a combinatiion of fur and frills; it’s a really cute piece.  My shoes are the latest release from N-core called DIVA.

Love how everything goes together, although I think my friend JoV might called that skirt flirty.

AVENUE Models Casting

These are my stylings for the AVENUE casting that took place today.  The themes given were really exciting and challenging, but every challenge pushes us a little more, to work harder on improvement and creativity, sometimes testing our patience, so I have to say this casting so far has been a new learning and enjoyable process to me.

Our first theme today is “The Details Is In The Devils”, with simple and minimalist clothing of neutral colour palates and playing up the look with statement accessories.  I used the same styling for my headshot submission.  Many has asked me about the hat.  I actually tinted the decorations and the scraf to match the colours and you will find my style cards below.

Our second theme is “New Baroque | New Romantic” with frills, fringes, lace highly patterned and our styling needs to be over the top, taking this soft romantic look to the next level.  Below is my interpretation of the theme.  I took inspiration from Donna Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2012 collections.  The veil is added not as a bribe but like those of old villagers put on young virgin girl.  I have chosen to only have the back part of the veil because of the constraints we have on prims, poses and runway rules.

There are a few people I like to thank for helping and supporting me on this first phrase of the casting.

Leah McCullough for her on going mentoring and helping with this photography.  Leah has been very patience with the photoshoot process because two of the sims we went to take just three pictures were very laggy and it took us 3 hours to complete that and not to mention her amazing works in capturing every details of my stylings.  You are awesome Leah!

Miffyhoi Rosca from Zenith Fashion for custom making the mesh lace veils for me in such a short notice and she did it exactly the way I imagined it.  I especially love the lace part.  Thank you Miffy! <3

Also to RKThings Crystal from Vintage Jewelry for custom making the necklace in silver for me which I have to apologize for later changing it to gold because it stands out more on the runway.

Monica Outlander from Miamai for a workaround on the boots and last but not least some of my dear friends that were in the audition together and also those that have been truly supportive in the entire casting process.
