Colour of Couture – Week 2

Our promo picture is finally out this week! Take a look!

Color Never Looked This Good!

Each finalist is given a different outfit sponsored by Journey McLaglen, CEO of PRISM, to style for this promo picture.  The promo pictures, which is really colorful and impactful, were taken by Valeria Endrizzi, a very serious and professional blogger and photographer.

I especially love the motto of CoC – “Color Never Looked This Good!” and I hope this promo will inspire many to understand and truly embrace that colours is not only fair or dark skin but also include yellow, peach and all other colours that we could find in a skin store.

Yesterday, April 14, was the judging day of our second challenge, on flickr.  Our theme was Afrocentric, where animal prints were the center of the styling.  In this challenge I wore a very sexy bare back one piece maxi dress with really detailed giraffe prints.   I hardly wear off the rack item for my styling but I made an exception in this case to let the life size prints speak for itself.  I paired the dress with tribal accessories and sandals, and complete the look with a beautiful long braid.

Our contest photo was taken by Audrey Cresci.  This is the first time I worked with Audrey and she has been very patient and helpful in the process.  Definitely a rising photographer in SL to watch out for.   Feel free to check here for the photos of the rest of the finalists.

Photo taken by Ai Hienrichs. Click on it for larger view.

This may not be my strongest challenge but it was fun to do something different and out of my comfort zone.   I hope the judges like what they see.
